Terms of Service

Effective October 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DopaReel's website, API, video clips, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). In these Terms, "DopaReel," "we," "us," and "our" mean the operator of the Service under the DopaReel name. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

DopaReel provides a website and API for finding and retrieving short video clips using available categories and visual filters. Clip availability, API features, documentation, and credit balances may change. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, subject to applicable law.

The website may describe prices, credit packages, or promotional credits. A displayed offer is not a completed purchase. Where a purchase feature is made available, the terms shown at checkout will govern the transaction, including its price and any applicable taxes. Credits have no cash value, are personal to your account, and may not be sold or transferred unless we expressly allow it or applicable law requires otherwise.

2. Accounts and API keys

You must provide accurate information when creating or using an account, keep your sign-in credentials and API key confidential, and promptly contact us if you believe your account or key has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed using your account or API key, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise. Do not share a key publicly. We may revoke or rotate a key to protect the Service or your account.

You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so by law or lack capacity to enter a binding agreement. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it; references to "you" then include that organization.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You must not:

  • violate another person's privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or other rights, or any applicable law;
  • use clips without obtaining any permissions, licenses, or releases needed for your intended use;
  • bypass access controls, interfere with the Service, probe or disrupt its systems, or attempt unauthorized access;
  • scrape, resell, redistribute, or make bulk or abusive requests to the Service except as expressly permitted by our documentation or written permission;
  • use the Service to distribute malware, commit fraud, or facilitate unlawful, harmful, or infringing activity.

We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders, the Service, or the public, or to comply with law.

4. Clips and third-party rights

Clips and other materials available through the Service may originate from third parties. The Service does not, by itself, grant you ownership of a clip or a license to use it in a particular project. We do not represent or warrant that a clip is cleared for your intended use, is free of third-party claims, or may be downloaded, edited, published, or commercially used. You are responsible for assessing and securing all necessary rights before using or distributing a clip.

Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. DopaReel is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or other third-party platforms referenced in connection with the Service.

5. Our materials

The Service's software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by DopaReel or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted. You may not remove proprietary notices or use our name or branding to imply endorsement without our written permission.

6. Availability and disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT, CLIPS, AND OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." DOPAREEL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED. We do not guarantee that any clip, filter, API response, or credit balance will be available or suitable for your needs.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOPAREEL AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS (THE "DOPAREEL PARTIES") WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES; COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES; OR LOSSES ARISING FROM THIRD-PARTY CONTENT OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH LOSSES WERE POSSIBLE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DOPAREEL PARTIES' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DOPAREEL FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US $25.

You agree to bring any claim relating to the Service against DopaReel only and not against an owner, operator, contributor, contractor, licensor, or service provider in that person's individual capacity. The DopaReel Parties are intended third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it. This section does not impose personal liability on any person solely because they are associated with DopaReel.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including where applicable law prohibits limiting liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or a particular type of harm. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or caps, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

8. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the DopaReel Parties from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs (including attorneys' fees) arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your use or distribution of a clip in violation of another person's rights. We will give you reasonable notice of a covered claim and allow you to participate in its defense. You may not settle a claim in a way that imposes liability or obligations on a DopaReel Party without that party's written consent.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, or discontinue the Service, where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse, or operation of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including the provisions on third-party rights, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and disputes.

10. Disputes and law

Please first send a description of any dispute to support@dopareel.dev so we can try to resolve it informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, excluding its conflict of law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York State, and each party consents to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere. This section does not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version here and changing the effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law. Material changes will be handled as required by applicable law.

Questions, legal notices, and dispute communications should be sent to support@dopareel.dev.
